I build internet products and platforms that make people's lives easier. I currently lead the product team at PhonePe for the Payments Platform, which is at the heart of every transaction that happens on PhonePe. Working closely with NPCI, RBI, banks, payment gateways and card networks, we make sure that PhonePe users are able to send and receive payments quickly and reliably, and have a smooth and simple experience. India is one of the leaders in global FinTech innovation, particularly on Payments Technology, with UPI (Unified Payments Interface). I'm lucky to work alongside some great minds inside and outside PhonePe, who are committed to simplifying payments for 1.4 billion Indians. Here is a brief about my previous experience: 1. Meesho (Social eCommerce): Led Shopping Experience (Search, Discovery and Personalization) product vertical, set up and led Data Science team 2. Ola Cabs: (Mobility): Led the Supply Shaping product team, was part of the Marketplace Group 3. Galleri5 (Social Media and Ad Tech): I was the CTO and co-founder. Rahul and I started galleri5 with the vision to organise all the visual content on the internet. We later pivoted to a Social Media Influencer Marketplace, which is currently the market leader in India. 4. InMobi (Ad Tech): I worked with the Marketplace team at InMobi - a leading ad network. 5. Barclays (Capital Markets): Fixed Income Trader. After working in Capital Markets for 2 years, I decided that my real calling was Tech! Solving problems that cannot be solved by most people gives me a kick. I've studied Computer Science and Business, and I love math. Hence I like to solve problems at the intersection of business and technology, that involve serious mathematical thinking and data. One such area is marketplaces - especially online ones, and I've spent a few years on this. I'm currently exploring another area - platforms. I'm passionate about running, music and automobiles. My personal record in half marathons is 1:54:59 at the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon. I play the piano and am learning to play better. I love to drive. Being an Elon Musk fanboy, I’ve booked a Tesla Model 3 and have been waiting for it rather patiently.
