Mutaz Maroun

Mutaz Maroun manages Zedan Capital, with investments encompassing both private placements and public markets, covering all stages of maturity, with a strategic focus on the US, Europe, and the Middle East.Prior to this, Mutaz founded DocJo and Carers, two early-stage health-tech startups based in the MENA region, and has held parallel roles as an investment advisor to SMEs in the technology, retail, and life sciences sectors. For most of his career, Mutaz enjoyed an accomplished career in the industrial sector, holding a range of senior roles across the GCC. He was consistently able to demonstrate his ability to identify growth opportunities, implement strategies to exploit them, and integrate and motivate diverse business units across functions and geographies. Mutaz holds an MA in International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs with a concentration on Global Markets and the Middle East and a BSc in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises from Syracuse University. He has also completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme from the University of Oxford.
