Evaluating the design and project needs of clients, orchestrating solutions to meet specifications and standards, and leading construction and upgrade projects across Canada and in the US – these are the challenges I met throughout my career. Project planning, documentation and package preparation, contractor communication, and reporting skills have served me well during my progression through line, design, and lead engineering roles. Currently working as a Design Engineer and acting Lead Engineer on large- and small-scale transmission line upgrade projects valued at up to $150M, I liaise with clients and subcontractors while executing all engineering items. My primary goal is to deliver high quality work on time and within budget. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: ► Generated project estimates, established schedules, and prepared budgets, updating forecasts and communicating changes to clients for up to 20 concurrent projects. ► Finalized first greenfield project on time and within budget, acting as design lead and construction support lead on a 138kV and 240kV transmission line. ► Discovered and resolved construction material issues, recommending mitigation measures to allow projects to proceed without significant delays. ► Approved vendor deliverables, analyzing engineering drawings to ensure adherence to client and industry standards. ► Tracked ordering and delivery of project materials to construction sites, overseeing construction of greenfield and brownfield projects.
