She currently works in Washington DC, as a Research Director for World Wide tracker team for Consumer devices at International Data Corporation (IDC) - a leading global market research, analysis and advisory firm specializing in IT, telecommunications, and consumer technology. Ms. Popal started her career in market research and consulting - specializing soon into IT consulting with CGI, consulting in all phases of systems development requirements life cycle (SDLC). In her 8 years at CGI Ms Popal grew into a Senior Business Consultant with many project and client management responsibilities before moving to IDC in Dubai, UAE. AT IDC, Ms. Popal manages the Mobile Phone tracker for META growing the tracker to 18 countries and significantly improving data coverage by developing trusted vendor and channel relationships. She conducts primary and secondary research to publish quantitative and qualitative data on current market size, brand share, trends in the industry and forecasts for each country in META. In addition to a strong professional background, Ms. Popal brings vast cultural experiences having lived in Hong Kong, Dubai and Washington D.C. - an asset in today's globalized world.
