About

I am an Associate Assistant Principal with a demonstrated history of working in the primary education industry- skilled in customer service, public speaking, teaching, Science Leadership, Interpersonal Skills, coaching and Training.I am an award-winning education professional, who has graduated from both Goldsmiths University London and Kingston University London, where a solid understanding of the role of education in diverse societies and how the education system continues to be shaped by social, political and economic factors has been analysed and researched. I have been involved in research and reports, which addressed a broad range of themes and ideas including gender in the early years, SEND intervention groups, alternatives to schooling, mental health and wellbeing, and institutional racism.I have studied, experienced and observed the ways people are excluded from education and society, and constantly engage in the exploration of possible reasons for, and alternatives to, this. This is a great interest of mine and something I hold as important in my own growth and development.I'm constantly aware of the tensions that can arise in a system that advocates education for all, yet mediates against the full participation of some groups and I am a true believer in social mobility, equality and excellence for every child, every day.Through my own witness of growth, progress and achievement in others is important and improves my own practice, importantly it enhances the belief of the importance of championing others so as to achieve the best possible outcomes.I have a problem with witnessing a person not achieving their true potential, it is seen as a great shame in my opinion and therefore it is with great privilege to work in a profession that has a direct link in facilitating success, growth, and prosperity - especially for those that are underrepresented. Most importantly, I am a mother to two beautiful, loving, intelligent, kind boys (4 and 12) and put family above all else.
