For over 20 years, I managed conferences and tradeshows ranging from 500 to 5,000 participants, including international conferences held in the United States for non-profit associations. My responsibilities have been pre, onsite, and post meeting logistical planning. Duties included development of the conference schedule, publications timeline management, hotel room blocks, food and beverage, audio-visual, suppliers, staff, and volunteer orientation/management. I wrote and distributed RFPs and negotiated contracts for future site evaluation and selection. I maintained meeting history, developed conference budgets, monitored meeting expenditures and reconciled meeting related invoices. M I now apply all those same skills in a corporate environment at Visa Inc, working with internal business units to plan and execute events. I am an active member of PCMA.
