Nastasha Coetzee

I recently graduated from the University of Pretoria (M.Sc. In Anatomy) with a dissertation focused on the transitional analysis of age-related changes to the distal radius and ulna within a modern South African population. Hence, I have acquired the ability formulate a protocol and in-depth experience of research methodology. Having worked within the Biomedical Sciences department at the University of the Free State, my duties included the training of Health and Natural Science students in Human Anatomy. Thereby, I have obtained advanced knowledge of recent clinical and medical terminology. Additionally, I am equipped to tutor and mentor trainees within a clinical and research setting. Working within the Data Management department at IQVIA, I have refined my data management and computer literacy skills, with further training and experience in DMSW, RAVE and Inform 5.5 databases. I am also skilled in compiling reports and transforming data for visual reports and presentations. Studies I have worked on include cardiovascular disease, atopic dermatitis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, liver failure as well as tuberculosis. Working on four clinical trials simultaneously, I have learned excellent time management, multi-tasking and task-prioritising skills. Moreover, I on-board quickly and effectively onto new studies using my flexible and adaptable work ethic. As an individual working with confidential patient and client information, I always try to maintain high ethical standards in regulation with ICH and GCP as well as following company standard operating procedures and policies. Having worked within several intermediary positions, I have developed expert skills in both professional written and verbal communication. In addition, I liaise information between teams and departments as well as within multi-disciplinary team settings. I have been commended for my ability to maintain a transparent communication style. As part of my current role it is essential to be accountable for your work as well as take responsibility for tasks assigned to meet deadlines. Therefore, I take initiative to improve upon my own performance by constantly submitting my work for quality review, referring to study guidelines as well as attending training courses. Moreover, I work well within a team structure by providing study training and performing quality reviews on on-boarding team members. I am an eager learner as evidenced by the number of courses I have completed within my professional career. I constantly strive to improve upon myself both professionally and personally.
