I've been accused of living, breathing, and eating dentistry. Sometimes I'll control myself though and enjoy a meal with friends without mentioning the "D" word, or sit down and practice the cello, or go to a yoga class and actually focus on not breathing dentistry. But I've cared passionately about dentistry since I entered the profession 19 years ago. It's why I'm dedicated to my patients, love educating future dentists, and have held significant leadership roles in my professional associations for 17 years. Nearly two decades ago when I embarked on this adventure, I would have never imagined that I would build a successful business from the ground up, treat the underserved in remote villages abroad, find myself in board rooms making strategic and financial decisions for a professional malpractice insurance company, or advocating for oral health with legislators in Washington DC. I think dentistry is a fantastic profession and I want to connect with other like minded professionals who want to keep it that way for future dentists and the patients they serve.
