Applied Economist/Data Scientist and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Associate with 15 years of consulting experience supporting the energy and environmental sectors with sustainable advancement of infrastructure. Mr. Nowakhtar has over 15 years of experience providing economic consulting services to consumer-owned utilities, the lender/developer community, and environmental agencies. He advances utility infrastructure and helps clients with integrated resource plans (IRPs), specializing in load forecasting and demand-side management (DSM) screenings, financings, economic evaluations, and environmental policy studies. Mr. Nowakhtar’s planning experience also includes numerous engagements requiring the incorporation of the impacts of distributed resources, most notably solar generation, as well as valuation and analysis related to distributed generation from both an operational and customer interfacing and strategy perspective. Mr. Nowakhtar is an active forecasting industry analyst and has presented at multiple industry forums on distributed generation (DG) and load forecasting topics, as well as energy efficiency analytics. As a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Associate, Mr. Nowakhtar combines the foundational principles of statistics and robust analytical approaches with the appropriate universe of knowledge and concepts within the sustainability field to support environmental engagements. Mr. Nowakhtar has led and/or designed studies related to waste flow characterization and forecasting, water demand forecasting, economic feasibility of environmental facilities, and the application of multivariate modeling for cross-sectional policy analysis focused on abatement of environmental externalities and community beautification initiatives.
