Nav joined the credit union in April 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer, with responsibilities for planning, directing, organizing, and controlling the financial activities of the organization. At the time, he oversaw financial and cost accounting and reporting, corporate finance, treasury, and regulatory compliance and risk management functions, marketing and corporate relations. Nav was promoted to Executive Vice President in August 2014 and currently oversees member experience, the credit union-wide strategic planning and innovation initiatives, business banking, consumer lending, real estate lending, card services, loan servicing &a; operations, loan collections, retail branch network, branch operations, e-commerce, inbound and outbound contact center, item processing, wealth management, insurance services, marketing and corporate / community relations. Nav brings exceptional depth to the management team with an international finance perspective from working in global and domestic financial services since 1987 and the credit union industry since 2001. Prior to joining Travis Credit Union, Nav was the director of corporate finance at Baxter Credit Union in Vernon Hills, Ill., managing the corporate finance, treasury function, process improvement, expense reduction initiatives, performance measurements, as well as strategic planning and control functions. Earlier in his career, Nav was a program manager with LoBue Associates, an international financial services management consulting group based in Chicago. His assignments included large domestic and foreign money banks, insurance companies, and a global auto finance company. Nav earned his BA in finance and economics at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada and a MBA in international business and finance at the University of Hartford in Paris, France and Hartford, Connecticut. Nav was voted to the CUES (Credit Union Executive Society) Rising 100 List in 2006 and is a member of CUES and CUNA (Credit Union National Association). He received his CCE (Certified Chief Executive) designation from CUES. He received his CUERME (Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert) designation from CUNA. He received his CSME (Certified Strategic Marketing Executive) designation from CUES. He received his CIE (Certified Innovation Executive) designation from CUES. He is currently Board Member &a; Treasurer for the CUES Northern California Council and Board Chair for the Fairfield &a; Suisun Chamber of Commerce.
