About
My ultimate goal is to build a strong and innovative career in laboratory-based research in the field of Neuroscience. I plan to apply cutting-edge imaging and in vivo electrophysiology techniques to build a connection between neurodegeneration due to aging or injury and underlying mechanism of altered synaptic plasticity. Currently, I’m doing ECG analysis of e-cig and MCS exposed mice, and future plan is to establish a sustainable correlation with induced autonomic nervous system (ANS). My recent past research responsibility includes imaging of neurons in murine models with mutated ion channels and analyze their correlation with neuronal disorders. Prior to that, I have successfully defended a Master's thesis on prevalence of antibiotic resistant bacteria in clinical liquid waste in Bangladesh. I have expertise on advanced microscopy including confocal and fluorescent. While in graduate school, I have acquired the experience to handle invertebrate and vertebrate animal models as a part of laboratory research that includes Drosophila, Zebrafish, and mice. My cell and molecular biology research experience includes extraction of nucleic acid, gel electrophoresis, PCR, ELISA Western blot, mammalian and murine cancer cell line culture and maintenance. Earlier, I worked as a lecturer at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh from 2013 to 2015. Apart from that, I have also participated in several international seminars and conferences with my research work in home and abroad. I have the ability to follow instructions and work as a team member as well as a team leader. I am interested in deep discussion about almost anything, and love to learn constantly. Optimism, focus, sincerity, and patience are my biggest strengths, while my weakness is my perfectionist nature. In future, I would like to establish my own research lab.
