As a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and management skills, I have always sought to improve my own development to the highest standard and to continuously drive to achieve the best results. I have a strong, well balanced management style that I have developed over the years stretching back from my military days through to the present using proven methods and techniques gained from the various management courses I have qualified from. I have a proven track record in continuous improvement and the implementation of actions and ideas. I work well to standards and specifications and strive for success, I firmly believe in training and developing teams to mirror my mission, vision and values and to always aim to be the best. Brief skills outline: City & Guilds level 3 qualified transport manager (road haulage) and commercial fleet manager, FTA member and Area transport manager for Tarmac. ILM level 3 qualified in line management. Skilled Shift production manager within Celsa UK Manufacturing for over 12 years, 4 of which were also spent as Production services manager within the Steel manufacturing industry. IOSH managing safely qualified, gained through a fast paced steel production company, proven record in the creation of SOP’s, Risk assessments, method statements and lift planning. Good experience in using continuous improvement tools and problem solving techniques such as TQM, 5's ,KPI, S.C.R.A, PDCA and SDCA. Conversant in the use of SAP and Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Familiar working with standards of Environmental Health and Safety, ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, COSHH & Qualified Internal auditor Outside of work I am a keen road cyclist and runner who rides for a club, fitness is a main part of my social life and riding in both long distance events and charity events.
