Transitioning from Academia back into Textile Pre-Production Management. Matriculated in Production Management: Fashion and Related Industries at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Revitalizing my knowledge in the concepts of sourcing textile materials and related products, in both domestic and international markets. Emphasizing global sourcing, vendor evaluation, quality assurance, materials resource planning, inventory control, and budget considerations are covered. Overall, twenty years of experience in Textile Pre-Production Management and Consulting/ Instructing at the college level. As a Textile Pre-Production Manager, expedited circular and flat knitted fabric orders in womenswear, menswear activewear, intimate apparel, and uniform trades, at fabric manufacturer and supplier. Inspected textiles with R&D for imperfections like: barre, missing yarn askewed, crease streaks, color out, drop-stitches, and/or knots to ensure client fabric orders conformed to company and client standards.
