Niamh Burke

I am a highly motivated and professional Occupational Therapist who successfully obtained an honours degree at the National University of Ireland, Galway (2010-2014). I have been working with Barts Health NHS Trust since January 2017 in the areas of: - Elective and traumatic orthopaedics - Care of the elderly. Prior to accepting a rotational Occupational Therapy position at Barts Health NHS Trust I pursued obtaining insight, experience and knowledge in many occupational areas such as: - Hand Therapy Assistant - Out-patient Clinic in the Bronx, New York - Voluntary Work - Carer for the sick and elderly on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France - Occupational Therapist in a dementia unit in a community hospital - University Dissertation - Sourced, adapted, organised and facilitated a 6-week energy conservation course for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) - Numerous university placements in the areas of: acute medicine, neurorehabilitation, community paediatrics and community mental health.
