Nicholas Oran Moore

I want to step into a movement, not just a role. Each day, we have the opportunity to choose our our own path forward. Mine will always include uplifting marginalized communities. For the last five years, that's looked like working at AIDS/LifeCycle as the Digital Marketing Manager, and being part of a team that raises more than $15 million annually to support the work of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Each day, I see the funds we raise reflected in the clients accessing our support services, and it fuels my passion to do more. "Doing the work" is something I revel in, and I don't see myself ever reaching out for a position that makes me "feel like I never worked a day", but instead, reaching for a position that challenges me, that requires my creativity, and most importantly that it feels like work worth doing. At the end of the day, if I know that my day has resulted in an improvement for someone in a bad situation, I'll be able to do some self care, go to bed, and wake up refreshed and ready to put in my full effort again the next day.
