Graduate in Marketing, Retail and Logistics with over 23 years managerial experience. I began my career as a recruit to the Great Mills Company’s Graduate Management Training scheme, subsequently managing within large scale DIY retailing for over 10 years. I am a highly adaptable individual with what I consider to be many interchangeable skill sets given the wide academic, and work training programmes I have undertaken. I am a positive individual at ease leading and driving a team to deliver results. I have operated in a small direct sales environment creating a team culture which took customers on a sales journey. I presently operate within a team of 15 serving both public and trade customers. It is fast paced and a hands-on environment which involves promoting a positive work ethic and enthusiasm in staff by using my leadership skills. Time management and prioritising are vital elements in my present role switching between administrative, personnel and customer facing duties. I try to take a methodical organised approach to work, when possible I think ahead at least in the short and medium term absorbing future business plans and data which can make myself and my team more efficient and reduce errors.
