I'm currently working at Nationwide Insurance in the downtown Des Moines location. I work within Software Development Services as a Test Lead on Agile project team(s), primarily working on web-based applications. Primary responsibilities: * Design, develop & maintain Ruby [Cucumber] test automation frameworks * Validate the solution and report on its ability to meet the acceptance criteria * Plan and ensure all stages of testing are on time with iterations and product releases * Oversee the defect management process and defect reporting * Serve as the primary point of contact for all defects * Ensure standard processes and practices are followed * Update the Master Test Strategy in collaboration with the business * Plan, execute & manage overall test effort on the team * Manage overall quality of the software in the line * Plan, coordinate, validate and maintain test environments & data * Identify test solutions and test improvements * Identify test issues and risks and address them * Identify tests, test methods & test settings * Collaborate with other team members * Train new hires with the tools and business knowledge needed * Execute tests, analyze results, log results/outcomes & sign off on testing * Identify, log, address and manage errors & defects * Ensure all defects are correctly documented & resolved * Develop and manage metrics and reports * Analyze and review requirements, architecture & designs * Monitor the development and execution of test scenarios & test scripts * Attend release meetings * Coordinate interface testing/UAT with other affected areas * Create system testing scripts/scenarios and status reports Past experience as an IT consultant: - 3 years experience with manual/automated testing on Agile project teams as a QA Test Analyst/Lead Specialties: Quality Assurance, Agile, Waterfall, test automation, Ruby/Cucumber, Selenium, FitNesse, C#, JAVA, COBOL, VB, SQL, .NET, HTML, Mainframe, Windows OS, Microsoft Office
