I try to make the world a better place! I have built a career on my positive attitude, networking ability and willingness. Willingness to learn, take on difficult or tedious tasks, willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I am an observant, timeline and detail driven professional with, knowledge in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, This has led to me, being employed by 4 of the top banks in South Africa as a senior developer. I have also developed solutions for some of the key players in the South African market, spanning across Aviation, Document Management, Communications, Training and Finance sectors. I was involved in designing and developing Anti Money Laundering systems for Investec bank in a highly pressurized environment because of the regulatory risk involved. This is exactly the kind of position I thrive in as these challenges are very rewarding in the sense that every time these systems identify a suspicious transaction or stop money flow to suspicious or known criminals, I am effectively stopping funding for terrorists, drug dealers or child smugglers. Along with my involvement in the Will and Estate management industry, which helps people plan for their end of life wishes, I'd like to believe it justifies my opening statement. My current position at Arken Legal in the Will and Estate management legal space, has given me the opportunity to hone my skills in all aspects of Micro-services design, development and cloud infrastructure management. Pulling apart the company's legacy monolith application in order to replace the data storage with the Arken Suite of API’s. This exposed lots of challenges which I enjoyed solutioning. I am a team player and perform my duties with a positive, “Can Do” attitude which leads to successful projects.
