Dr Nicola McGlade

I am a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years clinical experience. I am currently specialising in Adult Mental Health, working with clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Further to this I run my own small-scale private practice, working with adult clients both face-to-face and online. I am a certified Schema Therapist and am highly skilled in multiple therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Group Therapy, as well as Neuropsychological Assessment, Clinical Research, and Clinical Supervision. However, I am flexible in my approach to addressing clients’ needs, tailoring interventions to suit the individuality of each client. In addition, I am a guest lecturer in UCD on the Doctoral programme for Clinical Psychology. I have also contributed in the media (radio and print) on the psychological aspect of various topics. I have prior experience working in a corporate environment and in designing and delivering tailored interventions to meet the particular needs of that environment. I have a particular interest in workplace wellbeing and fostering supportive workplace environments.
