Nicolas Carrez

I have worked in Amadeus SAS as Software Engineer since 2008, where I had the opportunity to teach from many different projects, each having their own technologies, team governances and challenges. I had the chance to meet and work with numerous very qualified colleagues, and learn the sophisticated development and delivery cycles requested by big IT companies, providing critical services with massive TPS. In addition to my senior software engineer job, I have fulfilled the role of the SCRUM Master for more than 1 year, in a team of around 10 engineers. My responsibilities as SCRUM Master are to coach the team, to take care that no blocking point may jeopardise the deliveries, to ease the communication between the engineers, and to report the progress of the project to the management. I have a strong technical profile, liking to keep informed of new technologies and last tendencies. I strive to have a broad knowledge and build an expertise on all technologies required in an IT project, such as frontend and backend servers, databases, deliveries, monitoring... In addition to the technical skills, I do my best to focus on the project needs, by favouring mature technologies instead of trendy ones, by keeping an code architecture simple, well factorized and documented, and by nurturing the team spirit.
