Currently a Phys/D Metrologist specializing in the calibration of instruments used for length, mass, volume, ect. I also do repairs and can combine my previous manufacturing experience to give consult to specialty gages coming in. We service the manufacturing, aerospace, defense, government, pharmaceutical, and engineering industries Previously a Quality Lab Technician in a plastics injection molding factory with our plant specializing in automotive components for fluid transfer systems. I did quality inspections, measurements, and approval of parts, materials, and components. I test parts and material according to specifications and customer requirements, including, but not limited to: tensile testing, melt point, insertion and retention, shear force, moisture content, melt flow, and force. I work with tensile testers, optical comparators, CNC, CMM, and various special testing equipments. In addition to my Lab duties, I also take care of part sort records, scrap transactions, rejects and reject dispositions. I am in charge of establishing, implementing, controlling, reading, and retaining all gage RR studies, and capability and SPC data to be used for PPAPs. I worked with part number books, spec sheets, control plans, visual aids, work instructions, and various other quality related documents. I also assist with layouts and blue prints, shipping/receiving, inspection process on factory floor, audits, and have experience with plant scheduling. I have 8D certifications and training in various measurement and quality programs and systems. I am also familiar and work with ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001 accreditations. I have over 7 years experience here and another 3 years administrative experience at Tawas Industries, Inc. Outside of my manufacturing experience, I also am a certified firefighter, and certified in chemical spills, HAZMAT, emergency medical response, first aid, and CPR. I also in my free time do modeling, acting, promotional, and sales marketing work. I attended both Delta Community College and Alpena Community College during high school and earned certifications at IRESA Technical Center for public safety.
