As an IEC, I'm committed to helping students and families lower their stress, set realistic goals, and embrace the personal growth that the admissions process can offer. In addition to consultation and college advising services, I offer expert essay writing support, from brainstorming through final drafts.SENIOR CONSULTANTAs a senior consultant for Booming Minds, Inc. I work directly with students and families on all aspects of the college and secondary school admissions process. HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS ADVOCATEI am currently self-employed as a writer, public speaker, and advocate for healthy relationships. I am available for school visits, middle and high school student assemblies or classes, parent education, and professional development sessions for anyone who works with young people or wants to learn more about this important topic. ADMINISTRATION, EDUCATION & ADMISSIONSI currently teach a course for adult learners called Writing in Nature at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve in Pleasantville, New York. As an English teacher and administrator in independent schools for 25 years, I brought students and colleagues together to create meaningful educational experiences both in and beyond the classroom. My administrative roles have included middle school director and upper school community service coordinator. For several years I worked as an admissions interviewer for grades 6-12 and as a member of the admissions committee. I am comfortable in both traditional and progressive learning environments, and I am an avid leader of student trips abroad and outdoors. I have led a diversity task force, served as a club advisor, and coached basketball and crew.
