Nicole Leavell

During my 12 years in the HR field, I’ve had the opportunity to experience many aspects of Human Resources, but ultimately I fell in love with Recruiting. As a recruiter I get to be a project manager, a hunter, a culture influencer, a negotiator, and a HR business partner all in one. The basic process stays the same, but with each new requisition I get to build amazing relationships with passionate hiring managers and dig into the business needs behind every open position. I value the opportunity to advocate for candidates and help connect them to the right teams. There is nothing like the sense of pride I experience when my hires exceed expectations and are complete rockstars in their new role. The biggest contributing skill to my success as a Recruiter is the practice of communication. Consistent, frequent and transparent communication. If my stakeholders or candidates have to hunt me down for updates, I’m not doing my job. Whether I’m networking to build future pipelines or helping someone advance their career, I enjoy the impact my role plays in the lives of candidates, and the outcomes and success of a business through the candidates I highlight.
