I am a pragmatic and motivated professional with over 15 years’ experience in portfolio & program management offices teams. I have worked for large and small organisations in Australia and in the United Kingdom. Some lessons my experience has taught me: ● A valued PMO is an engine that drives performance of change, not a resource that executes process and administration. It’s able to elicit information that enables leaders to make sound decisions on their investments. ● A strategic PMO brings oversight, scrutiny and challenge - it enables traceability from strategic planning stages through to delivering change and realising the desired benefits. They establish a governance model that balances the need to support delivery teams (enable) whilst playing an assurance role (restrain), it establishes a trusted partnership with the project teams and leaders. ● A successful PMO framework reduces barriers to the successful delivery of change initiatives, it provides a safe space for awareness and escalation of project risks and issues whereby leaders can make effective decisions to stay on track and keep momentum. My work ethic is honest, innovative, pragmatic, enthusiastic and outcome based. I am quick to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across all levels to influence and drive change. I thrive in a team that commits to and holds itself accountable to deliver value, not just deliver, and supports continual assessment and improvement of its offerings to ensure purpose, value and growth. I enjoy opportunities to help uplift team performance by sharing my skills and experiences – both team and direct mentoring of those I work with.
