Nikhil Dixit

I am currently working as R&D Engineer within Additive Manufacturing(AM) department in Sandvik. I mainly focus on Laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) processes. In this role I investigate AM feasibility of various materials and product development. I have mainly worked with several Steel grades and Ni based Superalloys. The constant urge of developing new alloys and their manufacturing recipes for various applications within AM is challenging and interesting for me. Prior to this role, I was working as Project intern at Production Technology Center in Trollhättan, Sweden for developing process parameters for E-beam technology and understanding mechanical aspects of various post treatments on Laser based AM process. In my academic journey, I have successfully finished Dual Masters from Högskolan Väst (Sweden) and VIT (India) in Manufacturing Technology with focus on Materials and Additive manufacturing.
