Niki Gordier

Over my professional career I have had experience in a range of settings, from serving to housing support, administration roles to call centers. Over these opportunities I have mastered many skills. I am focused, self motivated and a team player. Most recently, working in the housing sector has allowed me to hone my support skills in a variety of situations. I have also been exposed to various emergency and crisis situations that have helped me develop problem solving skills as well as de-escalation techniques. I pride myself on my interpersonal and communication skills, which I believe is highly undervalued in recent technology driven years. My main interests are in the homelessness sector. Mental health and substance use is a rapidly growing issue within our communities and more than anything I want to do my part to help those in need. With all the knowledge I've gained in my undergrad, as well as the skills I have gained within the work force, I have become more and more dedicated to supporting our most vulnerable communities.
