Nikitas Sofronas

I have been working in the maritime industry for over 15 years in total, starting from cargo ships and tanker and moving on to the cruise ship industry. The last 10 years I’ve been working for the same company, starting as 3rd engineer and growing within TUI Cruises, as it grew also. I have reached the position of the Staff Chief Engineer, passing via all positions that the engine department had to offer. Most mentionable part of my experience has to do with multiple revitalizations and start ups of ship new builds. It was a privilege that during these ship new builds I received certifications from Wartsila for their Scrubber system and for their engines. I was trusted with multiple projects in different type of ships systems during ships operation or dry dock. Lastly I would like to note that I have lead several ships inspections such as: USCG, USPH, PSSC, etc.
