I have over 28 years’ experience in the health care industry, including all aspects of both the front and back office. I received my education from PHIA and received my first coding certification in 2004. I served as instructor for multiple coding and billing courses as well as President of the Team PHIA coding sector, Louisville chapter. I perform coding as well as chart audits and have provided one-on-one professional assistance to physicians and their staff for all specialties related to ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding and documentation. My primary focus has been ED pro-fee and facility coding as well as hospitalist pro-fee coding since 2012. I have coded for ED physicians nationwide in both high and low volume facilities. I maintain exceptional accuracy in addition to high volume production in production coding environments. I have performed audits for the KY state and US Attorney General for Medicaid fraud cases. I have been called upon to provide expert witness testimony on behalf of the KY Attorney General for fraud case trials.
