Nikola Lazarevic

I’ve always had a natural curiosity for large rivers, sea and technology. As a child, I loved walking along the Danube and the Sava rivers in my hometown Belgrade and watching the harmony between nature and things created by engineers. My passion for water and technology continued to develop and I obtained a mechanical engineering degree from University of Belgrade. In 2008 I moved to Stavanger with the North Sea and magnificent fjords as a close neighbours, and started my career within offshore oil and gas. During my 14 years long career, I obtained a comprehensive knowledge and experience which cover a broad span: topside and subsea assets, operations and maintenance, technical integrity and modification projects. Today, I’m still doing what I love, dealing both with water and technology. As a project leader for subsea technology and operations, I am working for Equinor, an energy company, with a proud history. I am part of the Equinor subsea family, who create state-of-the-art solutions and solve some of the most complex problems facing the energy industry. When I’m not working on subsea engineering projects, I’m either spending time with my family or enjoying outdoor activities: hiking and boating. In addition, I have a passion for voluntary and charity activities which make this world a better place.
