Nitin Pandea

Nitin Pandea is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years global experience across sectors. Nitin Pandea is the CEO of United Docks, a leading realty company listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius with the most significant portfolio of freehold private land ownership in the capital city of Mauritius. Nitin transformed United Docks into a leading realty conglomerate with an asset base of around MUR 5 Billion (U$ 110 Million). He is now implementing projects of a GBA of around 200,000 sqm representing MUR 25 Billion (USD 500 Million plus) of investment over the next 7 years. Over the last 3 years, despite the difficult context with Covid, inflation and rising cost of finance, Nitin raised MUR 2.22 Billion ( Around USD 50 Million) through Rights issues and Note Issues. Nitin is currently building a new business district in the Capital City of Mauritius known as The Docks. The Docks will have a GBA of 200,000 sqm and will be the working place for some 15,000 professionals. So far, 20,000 sqm has been completed. Since 2015, he reengineered the business of United Docks by developing 35,000 sqm of GBA, mainly mixed-use developments, business parks, warehousing & light engineering facilities and business incubators. He pioneered the first and biggest Park and Ride facility of Mauritius with around 1000 parking bays and full-day shuttles to city centre which contributes to reduce CO2 by 300 tons annually. Nitin Pandea started his career in banking at HSBC and Barclays prior to joining Board of Investment (BOI), now known as the Economic Development Board of Mauritius, where he spent 13 years travelling across the globe marketing Mauritius to the international investor community. He has facilitated several greenfield projects, brownfield investments and M&A. He also headed regional offices in Europe, Asia and Africa. Nitin Pandea has spearheaded the development of new sectors in Mauritius which include clinical trials, biotech, knowledge hub, medical hub and medical tourism. Nitin holds a BA (Hons) Economics, an MSc E-Business and has followed an Advanced Management Programme at ESSEC Business School. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants. He is Passionate about Realty, Finance, Fintech, Capital Markets, Biotech, AI, Arts & Ecology and supports Entrepreneurship.
