Nivedita Sinha Borthakur

Sustainability Professional with over 5 years of experience in the environmental management sector. Currently working as Senior Consultant at Primus Partners India in the Climate Change and Sustainability space. In my previous role as an Environmental Officer at Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), I was primarily responsible for conducting Environmental and Social Due Diligence of Renewable Energy projects that are eligible for financial assistance from IREDA. In my 3+ years of experience in the organization, I conducted environmental and social assessments of projects across various sectors like solar, wind, small hydro power, biomass and access to energy. My role also entailed regular interactions with IREDA’s clients and international lenders like ADB, KfW, EIB, World Bank, among others. Prior to this, I worked as an intern at IL&FS, in the field of Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Management. I was involved in the analysis of technical feasibility of Fine Recycled Concrete Aggregates produced from C&D Waste at the recycling facility operated by IEISL at Burari, Delhi. A major component of my project included extensive interactions with key stakeholders in order to understand the market dynamics of recycled C&D Waste products in India. Additionally, I have over 18 months of cumulative research experience at TERI and Delhi University. As an Environmental Professional, my objective is to leverage my experience and skills to make a meaningful contribution to the organization's sustainability targets and goals. Also, a voracious reader with a keen interest in all genres of non-fiction!
