Noel Kelly

Noel Kelly has been a Project Superintendent with the Middlesex Corporation for the last 17 yrs. Before starting with Middlesex, he was a Superintendent with Mohawk Northeast and Bourgeios and Shaw where he gained valuable experience managing day-to-day operations of civil construction, cost control, project coordination and safety. With the move to Middlesex in 2001, Noel began to effectively manage larger and more difficult infrastructure projects throughout Connecticut. He specializes in challenging fast paced public transportation construction which requires the concurrent management of multiple trades, subcontractors, equipment, and resources. Noel’s most recent work includes the CT Fastrak Busway Project and the Hartford Springfield Rail Line. Over the years he has received awards such as the Arthur Gruhn Excellence in Construction Award for the CT Fastrak Busway, The Aurthur Gruhn “Challenging Project Award” for the Amtrak NHHS Rail Line, and two ABC awards for the replacement of the Niantic River Rail Bridge in East Lyme. He has been recognized for leadership in managing and promoting safety, enhancing profitability through cost control, value engineering, and innovative means and methods. He has successfully mentored new team members, teaching them useful skills and exposing them to experiences that promote the rewards and opportunities from a career in construction. His integrity, professionalism and commitment have gained him the respect of his crews, subcontractors, suppliers, owners and inspectors. In a career, that at times, imposes relentless stress from its challenges and struggles, Noel manages to adapt to situations always displaying a calm, collected attitude. Outside of his successful career in construction, Noel has been an active volunteer with CT Special Olympics for the last 10 years assisting with various sporting, and fundraising events, and managing team athletic equipment needs.
