I am a highly motivated legal assistant with over two years of legal assistance experience in Litigation, Family/Matrimonial, Surrogate, Criminal and Personal Injury files. I also am in university working towards my Bachelor of Commerce.I work well independently but also have extensive experience working in team environments. I work directly with lawyers, paralegals, legal support staff, the Courts, medical offices, clients, Alberta Service Bureau, etc. I am a Commissioner of Oaths in Alberta. I am experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and am familiar/comfortable working with computers. I have an average typing speed of 75 WPM with 98% accuracy. I also have provided reception relief and am familiar with all reception duties.I am familiar with the debt collection process ( such as demand letters, filing and serving civil claims, obtaining and enforcing judgment, registering/renewing Writ of Enforcement, Affidavit of Damages, Bill of Costs, etc., and the Land Titles Office and Personal Property Registry.I am always striving to build strong client relationships and do my best to ensure my lawyer's practice runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Although I have been working in the legal field for a short period of time, I am eager to expand my knowledge and look forward to a career full of opportunities and life long learning!
