About

I am an economic analyst at the office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer where I specialize in corporate income taxes.Prior to working at the OPBO I received a masters in Economics from the University of Toronto and BSc in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Alberta. Throughout my university degrees I have had the opportunity to work on a multitude of projects. At the University of Alberta, under the supervision of Dr. Frei, I researched how systemic risk affects default intensities of companies during the 2008 financial crisis. In the summer of 2014, I was the youngest out of 14 students chosen from across Canada to be flown to the University of Waterloo where I worked on two projects focusing on Algorithmic Learning Theory (Memory Limited Learning) and Kakeya Sets. In the summer of 2016, I was one of 19 women chosen from across Canada and the United States to attend a two week workshop at the University of British Columbia studying Stochastic Calculus and Knot Theory. Outside of research, I was an intern at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) where I worked with the External Funds Team and the Quantitative Investment Team. My experiences have also been broaden through volunteerism. I was president of UA-WiSE (Women in Science and Engineering) at the University of Alberta for two years as well as president of the University chapter of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA). I also had the chance to participate in a international business competition where my team proceeded to championships.
