Experienced International Theatre and Arts Development Leader with 30+ years' experience in Canadian and international performing arts industries. Working across multiple art forms, his mentoring and consulting practice covers scenario planning, program development and public funding dramaturgy, as well as strategic thinking for international engagement, touring, residency and exchange. His current clients include the Australia Council for the Arts, CAPACOA, Pi Theatre, the frank theatre, Theatre Conspiracy, Zee Zee Theatre, and the Vancouver International Film Festival. With Dani Fecko and Kenji Maeda, he teaches “Thriving as a Cultural Entrepreneur” at his alma mater, SFU’s School for Contemporary Arts. Co-founded Vancouver's world-renown PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, with representation from arts groups around the globe. Grew the Festival from 9 performances over 9 days to its current format of 150 performances and events over 20 days, engaging 175 Canadian and international performers, and representing 10 counties. Led the development and implementation of successful public and private fund raising strategies, raising more than 25 million over 14 years. Managed annual operations exceeding 1.5 million, ensuring multi-year balanced budgets. Recipient of six national and international awards, including the 2015 National Arts Centre Award. Over 120 creative projects for the stage and screen. Selected directing, interdisciplinary collaborations and performance credits are available upon request.
