I'm currently a fourth-year student at ONDO STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, pursuing an undergraduate degree (B.TECH) in INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY. I'm undergoing my internship as of present at UNILEVER NIG PLC as a SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT(S.H.E) ANALYST. WHAT I DO: I work with my teammates as we are responsible for evaluating the overall operational processes of the organization, including the inspection of the facilities and equipment to ensure the safety and security of the employees and company assets. HOW DO WE DO THIS: we conduct regular audits to identify inconsistencies and process failures, thereby suggesting strategic techniques to minimize risks and increase productivity. We also facilitate safety training and programs to reiterate safety policies for everyone's strict compliance. In my spare time, I read, try to learn new things, do little proofreading and copy editing. I intend to do Environmental Chemistry in later years because my little experience in safety health and environment has taught me that a safe and healthy workplace not only protects workers from injury and illness, it also lowers injury/illness costs, reduce absenteeism and turnover, increase productivity and quality, and raise employee morale.
