Obeidurahman Faiz Rehmani

Dr. Obeidurahman Rehmani is a Board-Certified Neurologist with subspecialty certification in Epilepsy. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Punjab, at Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan before competing internship/house job at the Mulago National Referral and teaching hospital in Kampala, Uganda. He completed internal medicine training and a Master’s degree at Moi University in Eldoret, Kenya. He first came to the US on an exchange scholarship between Moi University-Indiana University partnership program to complete part of his internal medicine subspeciality training at Indiana University. He then returned to complete his neurology residency training at the University of Utah and fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Vanderbilt University. He works full time at Blount Memorial Hospital in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He also established and directs an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the same hospital. He also mentors 3rd and 4th year medical students from Lincoln Memorial University for their clinical clerkship in neurology. In addition, he will be working part time with TeleSpecialists to provide acute stroke and acute neurologic consultation as a teleneurologist to hospitals in 26 states across the US including rural hospitals. He sees patients with a wide variety of neurologic conditions including Epilepsy, Stroke, Headaches, Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromuscular Diseases. He also performs/interprets procedures such as EEGs, NCS/EMGs, evoked potentials, Botox for headaches, occipital nerve blocks, lumbar punctures and VNS interrogation. His other interests include global medicine, and telehealth. In his free time, Dr. Rehmani loves spending time with his wife and toddler son. Dr. Rehmani speaks fluent English, Urdu and Swahili amongst other languages.
