I rose from the ranks as a student trainee in 1983 and worked at various parts of the refinery and the refrigerated lpg terminal. I was hired as a field operator working the jetties, tank farms and eventually moved to process units as field, panel operator and acting supervisor. I was also crossposted for almost three years in Malaysia as part of a start-up team. In 1995, I was considered to be a refinery operations trainor but I deferred since I wanted to gain more experience with our new refinery which was about to be started then. Specialties: union negotiation, refinery process and tank farm operations, refrigerated lpg, personal safety, emergency response (oil spill and fire fighting)
