Odaya Buta

I am currently a student in the Paralegal Studies Program at San Francisco State University College. I received my BA in Social Science from Bar-Ilan University, located in Israel, and for the past six years, I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge working at Israel Government Ministries. I had a wonderful opportunity to intern for the Israel Court Administration as an assistant to a lawyer, who managed a project to establish the first drug court in Israel. In addition, my sociological training helped me during my criminological work as coordinator of the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse program, a role I fulfilled for about three years. Although the American Law has influenced many Israeli courts in recent years, it is still very different from the Israeli legal system. For this reason, I am seeking an internship that will allow me to learn more necessary skills and expand my understanding and/or work related to America's pro-Israel lobby.
