Olayiwola Jaiyeola-Joseph

Olayiwola is a graduate of the University of Nottingham with a B.Eng. In Electronics & Communication. He also obtained a Master's degree in Digital Communication Systems from Loughborough University. Olayiwola worked in the UK and with Huawei Telecommunications in Nigeria before setting up Pi Biometrics - a technology company with expertise in Biometrics, RFID Technology and Surveillance Systems, where he served as Managing Director for 7 years. While at Pi, he established several strategic partnerships in the EMEA region for the execution of Identity Management Projects across Sub Saharan Africa for Large Corporations like Shell and Stanbic IBTC as well as Government institutions such as the Lagos and Kaduna State Governments. Boggled with the inadequacies around payment systems, Olayiwola pivoted into Financial Technology in 2018 and cofounded STEP - a Fare Payment-as-a-Service Company. STEP is an effective, contactless ticketing system for private and public transportation.
