Oliver Bork

I graduated from UPEI in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in French. After a year in the workforce I realized I would need to go back to school to advance myself professionally. I gained employment at a soccer academy to stay involved with a lifelong passion of mine while I planned and continued my professional journey. During my time at this academy, I began as a regular part-time coach and have received yearly promotions since. After my first year I became a contracted full-time senior coach and administrator. Being an administrator for the academy has given me a better appreciation for business as well as the relationships with clients. It has also sparked a genuine curiosity and desire to learn and become more involved with the business world. With my newfound appreciation and curiosity in the business world, I returned to school to complete a Certificate of Accounting. I chose accounting because one of my most important responsibilities of my administrative role is to complete client registrations through invoicing, accepting payment, monitoring account receivables, and balancing the receivables on a monthly basis. I will obtain my Certificate in April 2021 and I intend to begin earning my CPA credentials shortly thereafter.
