Oliver Raycroft

Environmental Engineering student at Syracuse University looking for a research or internship position in a related field. My fields of interest are sustainable infrastructure, environmental remediation, and renewable energy. I am currently working as the Living Learning Community Peer Mentor for the Engineering and Computer Science College and in a lab working on a project with Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs). I am also working on a personal project with one team member called ScaleSense. This invention came out of Invent@SU 2022 with the Engineering College and it's a solution to help reduce firefighter's time of exposure when they preform large area search in zero visibility situations. Our hope is to participate in design and business competitions on campus and eventually get our invention patented. In my free time I play piano and drums, rock climb and mountain bike, and participate in outing events with the Syracuse University Outing Club as both a member and a trip leader.
