Oliver Steiner

Growing up, pulling things apart and forever asking why, I have always wanted to be an Engineer. Funnelling those habits I earned a Bachelors of Mechatronic Engineering (Hons) and have spent 4+ years starting my career at Fisher and Paykel Healthcare. After joining F&P, New Zealand’s leading engineering firm and world leaders in respiratory humidification, I explored the various facets of engineering in the company and gained experience across the business. My main role involved the management and execution of Data Science projects as well as customer facing responsibilities working closely with Clinicians and Nurses around the world for product improvements. For the past 10 years I have also been a sailing coach across all levels of children from beginner to representative level. For the past 4 years I was the Head Coach at Glendowie Boating Club, managing the coaching team as well as designing and constructing a new sailor development pathway and club philosophy. Outside of working I love the getting into the outdoors exploring nature through hiking, diving, sailing and cycling. I also enjoy playing social sports, travelling and meeting and learning from new people. I thoroughly enjoyed my years at F&P and am now looking forward to starting a new job in Canada and exploring this next stage in my career!
