Olivier Genest

As a consultant and business unit director, I am heading the energy-related (Smart Metering, Smart Grids) business and projects, mainly in France and Europe. This includes business development, sales, team leading and project management. In addition, at the company level, I am in charge of corporate communication and coordinate human resources and research and innovation projects. My domains of expertise are : - Smart metering and smart grid architectures (electricity, gas), with associated protocols, technologies and methodologies (DLMS/COSEM, IEC 62056, IEC 60870 and 61850, SGAM, IEC 62559, etc.) - Powerline communications (PLC), in particular S-FSK (IEC 61334) and G3-PLC (ITU-T G.9903), and including electrical network characterization as a PLC channel - Testing and validation of devices and systems : protocol conformance testing, system validation, certification process, interoperability achievement, test tools and test beds, etc. At European level, I am Chair of the BRIDGE "Data Management" WG, a European Commission initiative gathering all the EU-funded smart grid projects (Horizon 2020). Involved in international standardization, I am co-Convenor of IEC SyC Smart Energy JWG3 "Smart Energy Roadmap" (linked with ISO/IEC JTC1 SC41 "Internet of Things and Digital Twin").
