Olusegun Ilegbusi

Prof. Ilegbusi (Dept. of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, UCF, Orlando) is a Founder, Director and an Advisor for Segana. Dr. Ilegbusi is the Provost Research Excellence Professor and the Director of the Biomedical Research and Modeling Laboratory at UCFR, specializing in biomedical systems modeling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Dr. Ilegbusi co-developed a novel optical coherence tomography imaging catheter for intra-coronary plaque characterization on a project sponsored by the Florida Photonics Center of Excellence. Recently he was Co-Principal Investigator on a James-Esther King TSP Grant in collaboration with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando to study lung tumor motion. He was also a co-investigator on a US Army funded project for the design of surrogate lungs to study the effect of long-term smoking. Prof. Ilegbusi is widely published with 7 books and over 200 technical papers in scholarly journals and his research has attracted over $25 million in grants from highly competitive sources.
