Omar Benjelloun Touimi

Bioengineering was the answer to one of the greatest conundrums I had. During the course of my scientific high-school degree, two choices were laid out before me: engineering or medical studies. In this context, my appetite for mathematics was clashing with my craving for biomedicine. I chose both, I chose the bioengineering way, sitting on the fence between two worlds: biology and engineering. My aspiration is to use a versatility of cutting-edge technologies to cure virtually any illness. This thanks to my experience in understanding and encountering a diversity of biological data and queries. I've also discovered that I am a traveler by nature, I love to explore, learn from other cultures and meet new people, I have been solo traveling for 2 months after I finished my degree and learned a lot of things. Overall I am convinced that the most important thing my studies and experiences developed wasn't my cognitve capabilities, but certainly my emotional intelligence to face stress situations, be relentless to attain objectives, meet deadlines and share good vibes with people of different backgrounds, personalities and cultures :)
