Omkar Kulkarni

Omkar is a senior engineer in Machine Learning currently leading Content Discovery and Personalization Services responsible for personalizing recommendation carousals, search results, real-time user events capturing. He has implemented User Identity resolution solutions in the past that connect anonymous users to their respective registered identities using cookies, device fingerprinting and third-party solutions. These services are powered by Tensor based ML models to calculate purchase propensity, user preferences, session intents and resolving anonymous user identities in near real-time. Apart from personalization, Omkar has extensive experience in field of Platform Engineering, CI/CD DevOps, Large Scale Data Processing using Spark/EMR and Streams and AWS Infrastructure deployment. He has worked on kernel programming for improving streams using Zero-Copy principle in the past as well as built end-2-end Lambda Architecture based data pipelines. Distributed and scalable computing challenges is what he enjoys tackling.
