Omobolanle Olagunju is a Project Support Officer at the Innovation Agency - the Academic Health Science Network Northwest Coast. In this role, she works on the NHS Insights Prioritisation Programme (NIPP), which focuses on evaluating innovative approaches to improving the care of newborns in the Northwest region. The project will explore models of Early Supported Discharge for Neonates in our region, to identify which model delivers the most benefits to parents and newborns. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Scientific Officer at the One Health Unit, IHR/One Health Division, Surveillance Department of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. In a previous role as clinical research assistant, she helped develop SOPs (to facilitate compliance with GCP requirements), case report form, consent forms, risk assessments, procurements and payments, monitoring of compliance with study protocol and SOPs at participating sites. She had her commonwealth scholarship funded MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases in Animals (now One Health) at the prestigious Royal Veterinary College, University of London. She graduated with 1st class honours in Animal Sciences from Obafemi Awolowo University and graduated as the overall best student in her department and faculty.
