Onaje Mcdowelle

Onaje is from Houston, Texas and is currently a third-year Journalism major and African and African Diaspora studies minor at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an editorial intern at The Daily Dot and has previously served as a digital media intern at Austin Monthly Magazine, a writing intern at Study Breaks Magazine, and a Managing Editor at Orange Magazine. Additionally, he is the co-host of a weekly radio show at KVRX 91.7 FM and a member of UT’s National Association of Black Journalists chapter. His writing has also appeared on Verge Campus Texas and GoodMusicAllDay and he has done media coverage for Austin City Limits Music Festival, South by Southwest, Red Bull Sound Select Shows and more.
