Ophelia Aoraha

Currently a sophomore at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. I will be majoring in Biological Sciences with an aspiration for a career in the medical field as an OBGYN. Being multilingual is a very important part of my life because it allows me to communicate with a variety of different people with an inclusion of their culture, ethnicity, background, etc. in English, Spanish, Assyrian/Aramaic, and/or Arabic. Having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 2 years now has allowed me to experience the world of medicine through the eyes of others. My dream is to establish a network of connections focused on the medicine and education of women and children in countries that have no access to these essential, human needs. I believe that my growing knowledge of medicine and my language fluidity will prove me capable to succeed in any position that allows me to work with others and multitask towards a desired goal.
